The machining of aluminium profiles is a central task in window construction, door manufacturing, façade engineering and industrial lightweight construction. A large share of the precision and dimensional accuracy of finished components depends directly on the quality of the cut.
This is where the aluminium double-head mitre saw comes into play. It is specifically designed to cut profiles from both sides simultaneously – with maximum precision and at any angle. In doing so, it replaces several single saws and significantly increases efficiency.
A double-head mitre saw consists of two synchronously operating sawing units mounted on a rigid guide. Both heads can be controlled independently and set to the required angle.
Typical Features:
Two saw heads for simultaneous cutting of profiles
CNC control for precise angle and length settings
Mitre cuts from 45° to 135° (depending on the model)
Automatic positioning system for high repeat accuracy
Powerful motors for aluminium profiles up to 200 mm in height
Cooling and chip extraction for clean cuts
1. Precision and Repeatability
CNC control enables exact angle settings and reproducible results.
2. Time and Cost Savings
Two cuts in a single operation → faster, more efficient, less rework.
3. Flexibility
Suitable for different profile types: window frames, door profiles, façade elements.
4. Material Conservation
Optimised cutting plans reduce offcuts and waste.
5. Automation
Many models offer automatic feeding, material clamping and cut-optimisation software.
